What is Outpatient Psychiatry?

Psychiatrists are medical doctors who specialize in behavioral medicine and brain health. This includes, but is not limited to Depression, Anxiety, Dementia, ADHD and so much more.

Our outpatient setting visits are conducted in an office/clinical space. The patient is given the independence to explore their overall health with a provider. There is no overnight stay and the patient is taught how to address their concerns, as much as possible, outside of the hospital setting. Patients are also educated on when it is appropriate to seek emergency room intervention, such as in life threatening situations.

All New Patients

are required to complete the onboarding process:

+

New Patient Forms

+

EKG (our office provides the Lab Order)

+

Blood Work (will be sent to Quest Lab or LabCorp)

+

Assessment Tools

+

Any other pertinent investigative assessments

What makes the Soul Klinic experience unique is our doctors’ attention to detail. One way our physicians ensure they are able to give the patient’s their undivided attention is by using a scribe. During your visit, a medical scribe, someone who takes notes for the physician during meetings, will let you into an office or room. Their role is to assist with communication, document attentively as the patient shares with the physician, and help coordinate in scheduling your follow-up appointments after the meeting. The full analysis of your health helps determine what medications to administer, where applicable.

How Are Appointments Conducted?

Outpatient visits are conducted both virtually and in-person. For virtual appointments, a link will be sent to your email address the day the appointment is scheduled, and a reminder is sent the day of. During your initial virtual appointment, you will have about a 1-hour session with a provider. Additional follow-up virtual appointments will be scheduled within a 30-minute window at the end of each appointment. For in-person appointments, you will receive a confirmation and reminder via email or phone, and the duration and scheduling will be discussed during your visit.

If you are having any trouble logging into your patient portal, opening your appointment link or need to cancel your appointment contact the office number (661) 506-0607 or email info@soulklinic.com.

Once you are added to a meeting session we encourage you to complete the experience to retain the full therapeutic effect.

Child bearing is an intensive experience. The body goes through several changes throughout 9 months as it adjusts to maintain the health of your growing child. It is easy to lose yourself and your individuality as you transition into motherhood or beyond. The isolation of having conflicting feelings about your child, your new role, managing your body, or having lost a baby can be overwhelming, especially when those emotions are hard to express or feel misunderstood. But you are not alone! The challenges from these experiences can last a lifetime. We have created a refuge for mother's and families to get the support they need and work through these adversities.
